Sugar Cookie Fruit Pizzas

I found this idea the other day
and wanted to share it with you.

I have seen the big sugar cookie pizza recipes that you cook on a pizza pan, but I like how these are miniature.

Anything mini is just cute!

So here are the instructions for the easiest version:

Bake or buy your sugar cookies.
Spread strawberry cream cheese on top.
Slice strawberries, kiwi, grapes, etc., and decorate each cookie. Keep it simple.
Arrange your mini fruit pizzas on a pretty platter and there you have it.
Done.

Here is a recipe I found on another site that has a variation of the cream cheese topping. It sounds good, too.

INGREDIENTS

1 (18-oz.) pkg. (20 cookies) Pillsbury® Ready to Bake!™ Refrigerated Sugar Cookies
1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1/2 cup powdered sugar
10 fresh strawberries, quartered
1 kiwi fruit, peeled, cut in half lengthwise and cut into 10 slices
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup fresh raspberries

DIRECTIONS

1. Bake cookies as directed on package. Cool 10 minutes or until completely cooled.
2. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, combine cream cheese, limeade concentrate and powdered sugar; beat until smooth.
3. Spread each cooled cookie with 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture. Arrange fruit on top of each. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 2 hou
rs.

I think these would be so cute for a bridal or baby shower, your next girls night out, a little girl tea party, or just for a fun dessert for your family.

Happy End of Summer Party-ing!

Sliding Candy Bar Wrapper - How To

We found the cutest way to "dress up" candybars or gum! These make darling favors or handouts for church. And it's easy.

Anyone can do it - even if you don't feel like you are a "crafty/scrapbooky" person! So here goes...

Choose your paper

Measure the candy you are using and cut your paper accordingly (you'll need enough paper to wrap around it just one time).

Using double stick tape, wrap the paper around the candy. Not too tight! You want the candy to be able to slide out easily.

Take out your candy and squeeze the two edges together... then punch your hole through both sides at the same time.

Grab your ribbon and wrap it around the candy about so... and cut. You can leave the ribbon a bit longer so you can tie a bow, or leave it short and just tie a knot.

Now just slide the candy into the wrapper (with the ribbon still around) until the candy is sticking out the other side. Thread the ribbon through...

And tie your knot or bow.

Now you can be creative! Add more ribbon around the edges, layer your paper, add a tag to personalize for birthdays, favors, thank you's, etc...

It is seriously addicting to slide the candy in and out of the wrapper, just because it is so darn cute to see it just magically appear!

Have fun!

Sometimes Life Sucks...

But if it DOES, this Whirly Pop will sweeten anyone's day!

It is HUGE! Look at it compared to this (beautiful) hand! teehee

Wouldn't it be cute to give someone and say, "Sorry your day SUCKED, hope you feel better!" Or "Going back to school can really SUCK, but look at the bright side - you get a BIG LOLLIPOP, and you can share it with the cute boy in your English class!" The possibilities are really just endless with this larger than life Whirly Pop (wink wink).

Just wanted to show you one of our UNIQUE products.

Hope you have a good day.

If it does happen to SUCK, a visit to us will definitely brighten your day.

Cellophane Bag of the Week

If you've shopped at our store before, you know we have a pretty big selection of cellophane sacks. In fact, we have over 65 different styles to choose from!

Here is just one of my favorites for this time of year...

And here is the pattern shown enlarged...

So cute.

If you're like me, I see something I like and then I don't know who to give it to our how to use it.

So here are your instructions:

1. Come and buy your "Blooming Dots" cellophane bags (.15 cents a piece)
2. Fill with lemonheads, yogurt covered pretzels, popcorn, etc.
3. Take to your 5 of your friends/neighbors with a "Thinking of You" note attached.

There. Now go do it.
And make sure you make one for yourself.
You deserve it!

Sidewalk Boutique Pictures

A big thanks to all our vendors who came and endured the heat with us... and thanks to all you who came and shopped! It was a fun day!

Some of Pioneer Party's jewelry... we keep all this in stock year round, so if you are in need of something inexpensive to glitz up an outfit, we have it! Most necklaces come with earrings that match - and are under $15.00
This is our Baby Chicks gal! They carry baby leggings, squeaky shoes, headbands that are different than what you see everywhere else, mini flower clippies, beanies, belts, etc.!! We carry their merchandise in our store all year round, also!

Erin's Creations brought her lovely headbands - non-slip, no headache, and did I mention darling? She has some of the cutest material...
She also sells large flower clippies

Crush Accessories came and brought designer hats. I bought 3! My mom bought 4! They were reasonably priced and I couldn't stop looking at them!
We also had Usborne Books, Brag Books, Scentsy, and Glitter Toes - sorry but I don't have pictures of everybody!

If you have a unique product and would like to participate in our next Sidewalk Boutique, email us at pioneerparty@hotmail.com with pictures, prices, and contact information. We are planning another one in September.

August Visiting Teaching Message

I know some of you are just dying to get your visiting teaching done early this month! Once you see the message, you will really want to go and get it done! They are darling.

The message this month is entitled, "Seek Education and Lifelong Learning." With all the kids going back to school, it is a perfect time for adults to also recommit ourselves to gaining knowledge in both spiritual and secular areas of our lives.

As I have been out shopping for groceries, I get all excited when I see all the "back to school" supplies displayed at the store. Thinking about new school clothes, new binders & folders, new books - even homework, makes me wish I was going back to school!! (maybe I'm crazy!)

So when this message came out, we thought it would be perfect to create a little notepad with the message inside. A Jolly Rancher stick has been made into a ruler and tied on the outside, with the text,
"TAKE NOTE: KEEP LEARNING!"

Isn't it cute?

They are $2.25 this month. Email or call to order and have them shipped.

Happy Visiting Teaching!
