Valentine's is in the Air

We are READY!  Valentine's Day is only 18 days away, and we have been busy making THE cutest things. Do you know what you're giving your sweetheart?  What about the kids' valentine's?  Here are just 3 ideas to get you thinking... The "target" Valentine... that says, "I was right on TARGET when I fell in love with you!"  Filled with lots of delicious goodies - but even better, buy a Target gift card to add to it!  (I want my husband to buy ME this!) The "i love you" box - filled with 52 blank hearts for you to write down all the reasons you love your special someone.  Don't forget the "Fragile:  Handle with care - Many hearts enclosed in package"  Oooohhh...So sentimental! And this oversized pixy stick saying "You're my PIX for a Valentine!"  (the pixy stick is almost 2 feet long) Call to special order a box of giant pixy sticks to make your own! Hopefully that got you thinking.  I know there are oodl

Oreo Truffle Balls

These are THE yummiest treat I have maybe EVER tasted.  So I wanted to share!  They only take about 20 minutes (if you soften your cream cheese beforehand) to make and then an hour to chill in the fridge.  Anyhow... here is the recipe. These are perfect to take or make for a party - they look & taste so gourmet . For Valentines, it would be darling to add a drizzle of red or pink chocolate on top... don't you think??!

Felt Wreath

I LOVE Valentine's Day!  Well, not sometimes the actual DAY, but all the fun leading up to the actual day.  The busy-ness of getting the store ready... all the cute little gifts that we make up for others to give away... seeing men come in totally clueless and helping them get an awesome Valentine's gift for their wife or children.  Also love the decorations.  Balloons, wreaths, ribbon, scrapbook paper, candy in jars, etc.  Anyhoo... Here is something that I love.  And can't wait to make.  Soon! Isn't that the cutest thing EVER?   I want to get a lovey dovey chick flick with some of my  girlfriends and sit and make it while eating chocolate.   Sound good?   (click on the picture for instructions)

Easy Valentine's Day Project

Does your house seem a bit empty after taking Christmas decorations down?   (hopefully they ARE down by now - or at least in the process!?) I came across this EASY and darling idea: Fill up your apothecary jars with simple paper hearts . Add a ribbon & some moss or tissue in the bottom. Voila!  Something to set in your entryway or dining table...  or anywhere you please! Let me know if you use this idea:  I love to hear comments!

January 2011 Visiting Teaching Gift

VT January 2011 - The History & Heritage of the Relief Society Our Visiting Teaching Gift this month looks like something that might have been shared between sisters in Old Nauvoo. The message encourages us to "look into the past to know how to face the future."  This thought is printed on vellum, which covers a window in the brown paper sack. As you lift the vellum, you will see a picture of a group of sisters meeting with Joseph Smith as they organized the Relief Society on March 17, 1842.   As we were pondering what kind of treat to include this month, we wondered what would sisters share with each other back in the day? We had lots of ideas come to mind, but nothing we could package up and share with you! Until we came across a cornbread muffin mix .  Perfect! Something to whip up fast (a little easier than it used to be), be filling and warm during these cold winter days. Hopefully you enjoy sharing this simple little gift with your sisters! Purchase in our
