December Visiting and Home teaching gifts

Image
The title of the official December's Visiting Teaching message from the Ensign is "The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Prince of Peace." We have included the full message from the Ensign, a 3"x4" print of Mary holding baby Jesus  (painting by Simon Dewey), and a Dove milk chocolate bar.

Wrapped in a chocolate brown gift sack, a tag with a graphic of a dove on it, and a tag that reads, "Celebrate the Prince of Peace this Christmas Season" - this gift will be just right for the sisters you visit teach.

The December Home Teaching message is entitled, "Fill the World with Christ's Love." In the message, President Uchtdorf tells a story about a family in need one Christmas. When asked what the children would like, the girls replied a stuffed animal or a doll, and the hungry little boy just wanted a bowl of oatmeal.  The message goes on to remind us that sometimes a humble gift or giving of our love is most important. We have wrapped up a caniste…

September Home & Visiting Teaching gifts

Image
The title of September's visiting teaching message is "The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Comforter."

We have created a darling gift pouch that is bicycle themed. We've added a package of (sweet & salty) trail mix, the full message from the Ensign, and a tag that reads, "Follow Him on the "trail" to peace & comfort."

This month's Home Teaching message is entitled, "Are We Prepared?" and written by President Thomas S. Monson.

We have made a cute tag that says, "Being prepared is nothing to LAFF about" (using Laffy Taffy candy). The full message from the Ensign, and assorted Laffy Taffy's are tucked inside a manilla envelope ready to give and have your family(s) enjoy!

We love how this turned out and think the sisters you visit will too!

August Home & Visiting Teaching Gifts

Image
It's Back to School time! For August's Visiting Teaching gift, we have made a miniature file folder out of scrapbook paper, complete with a set of 5 notecards (with the full message from the Ensign printed) and wrapped it up with twine, a paper clip, and a tag that reads, "TAKE NOTE of the Divine Mission of Jesus Christ."

A package of gum is tucked in the folder as an extra little treat after your sister does her "homework."

The August First Presidency Message from the Ensign is written by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, entitled "God's Harvest." (It's a great article!) We've included the full message, along with a family size bag of sunflower seeds and wrapped it up with a darling tag and ribbon. The tag reads, "What we sow, we reap. That is the law of God's harvest."

May Visiting and Home Teaching gifts

Image
For May's Visiting Teaching gift, we've designed three lovely bookmarks using three quotes from April's General Conference.

They are tucked inside a mint green or coral 9" envelope, and also come with two vintage chick-o-stick candies. We've finished the gift off using cream or gray lace and a tag that reads, "May Visiting Teaching, Excerpts from April General Conference 2014"

We think you will love the beautiful color combo of gray, coral, and mint and hope your sisters will enjoy using their bookmarks in months to come!

For this month's Home Teaching we have created a bright colored design that reminds us that "We can always COUNT on our Church Leaders."

The design has four quotes from General Conference. In each square of the design there is a highlighted number that correlates with the quote, this month's message is sure to be a fun way to remember April's General Conference.

Be sure to take a moment sometime this month and COUNT…

April Visiting & Home Teaching Gifts

Image
This month's visiting teaching gift is a must have! We have designed a bright and cheerful print that can be put into a frame and displayed in your home.

The quote says, "Jesus Christ saves us from sin and death. For that, he is very literally our Savior and Redeemer." (quote from mormon.org) We've included the official message from the April 2014 Ensign, a bag of (Dessert or Tropical flavored) Skittles, and wrapped it up with a darling ribbon.

You'll want to get yourself one JUST for the darling print that can be framed. Enjoy!

This month's home teaching gift is so bright and fun!

We've used a chevron printed paper sack, filled it with a spring-themed bag of Lifesavers (24 servings), added the message from the April 2014 Ensign, and tied it all together with a cute egg and ribbon.

Enjoy!

March Visiting and Home Teaching Gifts

Image
The visiting teaching message this month (from the Ensign) is entitled, "The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Light of the World." We want to include women from all over the world... and remind each other that He is the Light of the World and we are indeed LUCKY to know who He is.

We have created a (vintage inspired) gift that we hope you'll love. An old fashioned map holds the message from the Ensign as well as a chocolate Cup of Gold candy bar. We've adorned the gift with a band of golden cardstock, a lovely green clover, glittered ribbon, and a tag that reads, "Lucky Women Around the World... Look to the Light of the World."

We hope you feel as LUCKY as we do to know Christ and share this message with others.

Ribbon and chocolate may vary from description, but know that it will always be "Pioneer Party" approved!

The title for March's home teaching message is "Service and Eternal Life" (written by President Henry B. Eyring).

You're in for a sweet treat with this month's visiting teaching gift!  A sweet striped paper sack sets the tone for this lovely little goody.  Inside you will find the full message from the Ensign (a full color print), with a chocolate Hershey bar.   The "HE" of the Hershey is showing and a tag covers the "RSHEYS" letters that reads "(HE) is the Good Shepherd and Loves each one of us.  Let us follow His example."   The darling details of gold tulle, doilies, hearts, and our "Sending you Love" tag just finishes off this one of a kind gift.

Oh how we love the month of "Love" around here!  This home teaching gift just has that bright, fun look that will get you motivated to go out and home teach!

It's a new year! Get your visiting and home teaching done in style with our cute messages this month.
We are loving the color scheme for our visiting teaching message this month! The message is entitled "The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Exemplar."

We have it bagged in a darling gray chevron bag, stuffed with the message and, of course, treats! The tag on the outside says "The Best Time to Begin is NOW, not LATER" - going right along with the theme of the Now & Later candy inside!

February Visiting Teaching Gifts are READY!

Image
So if you're new to our store and blog, each month we make a Visiting Teaching Gift that goes along with the message in the Ensign from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We started this 10+ years ago, because we had customers coming in every month asking, "I have to go visit teach - what can I take to give?"  We would stop whatever we were doing and help each customer come up with something to give.  After this continuously happened for a few months, we decided we should pre-make some for these certain guests of ours.  And that is how our monthly Visiting Teaching Gifts all started.  I really want to say that we (as far as we know) were the first store to do this sort of thing.  Since then, there are many that sell something monthly... but we are a little partial to ours!

Anyways, as time has gone on, the idea has grown and our store has grown - and we are making lots and lots of VT gifts each month!  It is awesome to see so many sisters go out of their …

December Visiting Teaching Gifts!

Image
I am so excited to show you these beautiful gifts!  We've used a collection of paper that has creams, browns, and blues combined with glitter to make these a very eye catching gift for such a special season.

One of the quotes we really liked says, "Every sister who lives as a woman of God becomes a Beacon for others to follow..." (Elder M. Russell Ballard) - so we've created a beautiful bookmark that is included in each gift.  A picture of the Mt. Timpanogas Temple was used for the bookmark (and was taken by a local photographer, Nate Ekins) and is exclusive to Pioneer Party.

Also included in the gift pouch is the full message from the Ensign, printed on cream paper, and a Mrs. Cavanaughs gourmet candybar.  The chocolates are (seriously) delicious!  You will receive one of three different kinds:  a white chocolate almond coconut, a dark chocolate roasted almond, and a milk chocolate caramel bar.

Of course each gift is wrapped using beautiful ribbon and a "Warm…
